There's a new Batgirl on-going series coming, but who's going to be Batgirl? DC knows, but they certainly aren't telling...

Who’s That Girl?

DCU’s The Source blog is at it again, releasing this little number….

Batgirl?

The blog features a Batgirl wearing a modified Batgirl costume as worn by Cassandra Cain, but who’s really in the costume?  Cassandra herself has been a bit more up front recently, taking an active role in assembling heroes to defend Gotham during Batman’s absence, but Barbara Gordon/Batgirl I is currently in her own mini-series which many speculate will end in Barbara getting her legs back.  Who exactly is in the suit is up in the air still, but DC seems content to milk it for what its worth.  Hopefully within the next month or so, when the new Batgirl on-going begins, we’ll get a definite answer, but until then, feel free to light up the comments below with your speculation.

  1. I’m thinking it’s Bette Kane. With Kate Kane running around as Batwoman again, a Kryptonian occupying the Flamebird codename, and DC’s unrelenting love for the Silver Age, I could see Bette retaking her old pre-Crisis Bat-Girl identity.
