“Superman/Batman: Public Enemies” Gets a Release Date

Comic Book Resources is reporting the newly announced release date for DC’s forthcoming animated feature, Superman/Batman: Public Enemies.  The film goes direct to DVD on September 29th with a 2 Disc Special Edition, which will have several featurettes, including “The Blackest Night: Inside The DC Comics Event”, “A Team Of Minds” with Jeph Loeb looking at the Superman/Batman team-up concept, and “Dinner With DC Featuring Kevin Conroy”, in which the legendary Batman voice actor will discuss the creative approach to the story, and is joined by Voice Director Andrea Romano, Producer Bruce Timm, and Gregory Noveck.  The 2 disc will also include a look at DC’s next, yet to be announced animated feature and 2 episodes of Justice League Unlimited, and will retail $24.98, with a single disc going for $19.99.  There will also be a Blu-Ray edition for $29.99.

The next release in DC’s ever growing animated feature line-up is Green Lantern: First Flight, which is slated to come out on July 28th.  Hit the jump for Superman/Batman: Public Enemies recently yanked yet still available thanks to a Russian sharing site trailer.

Based on the first arc of the Superman/Batman on-going series, Superman/Batman: Public Enemies is about Lex Luthor (President at the time of the story) framing Superman for a meteor falling to Earth.
