Amy Adams is Lois Lane

I suppose I should have made some cheap joke about this in the title of the post.  Lois Lane is ENCHANTED, maybe? I dunno.  But regardless, here’s the story: Julie & Julia star Amy Adams is now officially Lois Lane in the upcoming SUPERMAN/MAN OF STEEL film courtesy of Zakk Snyder, and starring next to Henry Cavill’s Superman.  She’s not really someone I would have expectedly put into the role; she’s kind of known for playing more upbeat, happier characters so far as I can tell (but then again, I’ve yet to see THE FIGHTER, so by all means correct me if I’m wrong).

Of course, I’ve been campaigning for years that Mia Kirshner would be an ideal Lois Lane, so it’s entirely possible I’m just talking out my ass here.  I do still feel Kirshner could really sell the role, kind of a modern age Margot Kidder thing, but unfortunately, she’s probably not considered young enough to play next to Cavill’s Superman(despite only being one year older than Adams).

No other casting announcements were made over the weekend, but on-again/off-again villain contender Viggo Mortensen is rumored to have dropped out of his latest project SNOW WHITE AND THE HUNSTMAN and is now once again in the front running for the as yet unnamed villain of the project.
