“V”, “No Ordinary Family” Axed

ABC is a weird channel. I remember watching it almost exclusively as I was growing up, thanks to their family friendly fare and the legendary TGIF line-up, but these days I never know what is or isn’t on the channel. I did know that the V reboot was there, and caught the first few episodes before losing interest, though.  Sadly for those of you that are fans, the show has been axed…along with a plethora of other shows. V, No Ordinary Family, Brothers & Sisters, Detroit 1-8-7, Off The Map, Mr Sunshine, and Better With You have all been axed by ABC for the upcoming season.

I had genuinely only heard of No Ordinary Family because of my love for Julie Benz, and was aware of Brothers & Sisters but never watched it, so I can’t say I’m all too hurt by this.  No Ordinary Family is really the only one that isn’t surprising, seeing as how the principal cast was being allowed to film other pilots already. Brothers & Sisters is supposedly a bit of a shocker, but again I’ve not kept up with ABC for a while.

There’s reports that ABC has also greenlit a Charlie’s Angels reboot/remake for next season as well.  Similar line-ups from other channels are expected in coming days; FOX has already announced it’s slew of cancellations which included popular series Lie To Me, and NBC is expected to make it’s announcements on Monday.
