Pull List: Wonder Woman’s Pantsless Again?

I know. I’m horrible.
I always get lost when I try to figure out how to do the Pull List articles. I need to just bite the bullet and stick with a format for a while. Leave a comment if you have a suggestion, and we’re going to try to do these again. We’ve got three books you should pull, and one book you should pass. I think everyone alive does that format, but everyone isn’t as witty as me (they’re actually wittier).
Remember, just because it’s not on the list doesn’t mean it’s not good!

I’ve been enjoying the hell out of this book, but it’s incredibly lengthy run is really starting to wear. I know it’s slated to be bi-monthly, but it’s the 9 issue series has already been going on for nearly a year, issue #1 having released last July.  Regardless, the book is full of surprises, great action and beautiful artwork, and it’s only getting better.

Gillen has made Uncanny X-Men an amazing title, with the quality skyrocketing in just the few issues he’s worked on.  This story appears to be a done-in-one, something I’m incredibly fond of but is increasingly rare in this day and age.  Hopefully he’ll be able to keep the title at this level of quality after it’s #1 reboot.

This is the one you’ve waited for! The year-long “Odyssey” storyline comes to an earth-shattering conclusion! Can Diana defeat the powerful forces that destroyed her entire reality? And even if she wins, she could still lose everything!

I’ve not really kept up with Odyssey. I know it’s changed have been hit or miss, but I thought the changes were really well done, and a bold move for a character who really needed it.  Despite what the official solicit from DC says, it doesn’t actually end this week, and will be running up until the reboot. Regardless, this is definitely going to be a huge issue of the story, and a book to keep an eye on until it’s conclusion just prior to the reboot.

I get what this is supposed to be: a mature rated romp through the world of Wolverine, full of guts and gore. And something like that definitely could work for the character, much like it has for The Punisher and Deadpool. But…this book just doesn’t do it for me.  Wolverine feels pretty out of character in the issues of this I’ve read, and the focus on violence and exploitation over an actual story really hurts this book.
