The DC Reboot: Superman, Superboy & Supergirl Covers Leaked

Ron MarzI kind of have to agree with Marz. And not just because I don’t want to piss off one of the guys responsible for me getting back in to comics when I was a teenager, but because he’s right.  I’m patient enough to wait and see what’s coming out in the context of things. If they were meant to be released, they’d be released already.

The covers leaked about an hour ago. Yes, I’ve seen them. Yes, I have them. They’re ready to run…and they’ll run tomorrow, along with the official release of the creative teams. If you really want to see them, you can find them the same as I did. I’m aware that it’s the Internet, and that the genie is out of the bottle for good now, but I’m still not going to actively run them.

If you’re curious what I think, well Superman basically has Batman’s design aesthetic now. I’m not sure I like it; he looks a lot more like Ultraman now. It’s also got that same, weird lined armor thing going on; which is again, fine for Batman, but not needed for Superman. Supergirl’s costume is almost a welcome update, except the lack of pants and nonsensical boots are ridiculous. And I’m not sure what the hell is going on with Superboy’s cover. We’ll have more info, as well as the official creative teams for the Superman line of books, once they’re released tomorrow morning.
