First trailer for ‘The Dark Knight Returns’ Part 1 released

Well, here it is. You’re first look at part one of DC Animated’s “Batman: The Dark Knight Returns” Part 1, which hits shelves in September. Not sure how I feel about this one based on the trailer. It looks like they aren’t shying away from telling the story proper (especially with the film being split in to two parts), but it just looks so…clean. Like it lacks the gritty, dirty feel of the original book.

Oh well. Enjoy the trailer, and we’ll see how things turn out in September.
