Mads Mikkelsen drops out of Thor sequel

Mads Mikkelsen, perhaps known best as Le Chiffre in the James Bond reboot Casino Royale, has confirmed during a presser for his recent movie Move On that he’s no longer a part of the upcoming Thor sequel, citing his commitments to the upcoming Hannibal TV series as the reason for dropping out.

It’s pretty crazy that the Hannibal series is turning in to such a bad sign for comic book movies; Fox announced at Comic Con that it was searching for a new director for it’s Daredevil reboot after David Slade was forced to drop out due to his commitments to Hannibal.

Mikkelsen was rumored to play The Executioner, alongside the film’s main bad The Enchantress. No word on who else could be in the role yet.
