First ‘Thor: The Dark World’ trailer finally released

With a release slated for a mere 7 months away, it’s surprising that we’ve heard so little of the upcoming Thor: The Dark World, the second film in Marvel’s Avengers: Phase Two film initiative (the first Phase Two film, Iron Man 3, hits theaters next week). A few pictures of barely anything were released the other day, but we just got the first teaser for the film, and it’s a good one. It looks like Thor (Chris Hemsworth) is keeping his promise from the first film, and Jane Foster (Natalie Portman) is going to Asgard, and no one is terribly happy about it…least of all Malekith (Christopher Eccleston). Throw in a dash of Tom Hiddleston’s Loki, and you’ve got the makings of a fun film.

Naturally, Marvel has informed everyone to stay put after the credits in Iron Man 3…I don’t know why they still feel the need to tell you this. Look for this stinger to build either towards Thor: The Dark World or 2015’s The Avengers 2.
