New ‘Ninja Turtles’ trailer is….good?

Over on the podcast, we’ve discussed at length the look and feel of Michael Bay’s upcoming Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles reboot on numerous occasions, but the general consensus has been it just doesn’t feel like the TMNT we’ve been familiar with for nearly 30 years. The first trailer had a dark, edgy, sci-fi feel to it that made the film feel…off. The character designs seem busy and mish-mash, and the heart just isn’t there.

So you can imagine my surprise to discover the new trailer is really, really good. It’s amazing what a simple change of music and highlighting of Turtles can do. Shredder still looks like Iron Man on steroids, but maybe that’ll turn around.

Check out the trailer above, then hit the comments and let us know what you think. We’ll probably be discussing this one in this week’s Room Full of Nerd Stuff.
