No DLC For “Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe”

Ed Boon confirmed via his Twitter account that DLC for last years Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe has gone the way of the Dodo.  The worst part is, it appears they were almost finished with two characters, MK protagonist Quan Chi and The Joker’s main squeeze, Harley Quinn.  Boon posted the accompanying image of Quan Chi, as a “look at what could have been”.

While it ultimately does suck, the team is hard at work on the upcoming 9th entry of the Mortal Kombat franchise, which is likely to get a snazzy subtitle soon.  There’s no set release date, but I think we can all agree that we’d rather have a new, proper MK game. Moral Kombat 9 is set to be a sequel to the last true game in the franchise, 2006’s Mortal Kombat: Armageddon.

And yes, it has been that long since Armageddon came out. Feel free to light up the comments with what you want to see in the next game and what you hope they leave out.
