"Batman: Arkham Asylum"'s Scarecrow revealed!

Batman: Arkham Asylum” is shaping up to be pretty damn spiffy.  Both Derk and I have played the PS3 demo of the game, and found it to be a lot of fun and just gorgeous to look at.  The delay for the game really sucked, but fortunately it’ll be out in a just a few short weeks (Currently, the release is slated for August 25th).

Last week, GameStop let slip an exclusive look at their pre-order challenge maps, and with it came a look at the game’s redesigned Scarecrow.

Now, I’m not entirely sure what’s up with the Freddy Krueger styled glove with hypodermic needles…I just know YEESH!  As someone who hates needles, that’s terrifying.  An interesting redesign that obviously doesn’t touch the classic, but certainly keeps in line with what we’ve seen of the game so far.

The Pull List! July 29, 2009

Well, folks, it’s that time again, where we take a look at the comics you need to pick up.  Marvel did exactly as we expected, dumping every single “Dark Reign” related book this week, as well as finally releasing the final issue of the easily forgotten “Ultimatum” event.  Meanwhile DC actually eased off it’s current event, “Blackest Night”, probably because it’s two strongest books, “Superman” and “Detective Comics” come out this week.  All in all, a somewhat disappointing week for the Marvel Zombies, but Johnny DCs are going to be foaming at the mouth.  Hit the jump to find out what’s notable this week, and remember that just because I didn’t put it on the list doesn’t mean it isn’t good.

New Doctor Who “The Waters of Mars” Trailer!

Eccleston was great, but David Tennant will always be “my” Doctor. And you never forget your first Doctor, right!? There’s a new trailer for the upcoming special, “The Waters of Mars”, with a lovely ending that serves to remind you that The 10th Doctor’s time is coming to an end…

Starring David Tennant, Lindsay Duncan, and featuring at least one big, huge surprise that I won’t mention on this page, “The Waters of Mars” is expected to air sometime in November.

Disclaimer 3/2011: This isn’t the trailer originally featured with this post in July of 2009; we’ve updated the post with a similar trailer for th BBC US premiere to as not to appear insane.

"Dexter" Season 4 Trailer

I’ve been a huge fan of Michael C. Hall’s work ever since Six Feet Under, but at the end of the day he’ll always be remembered as everyone’s favorite serial killer on Dexter.  The fourth season starts up in a few months, and we’ve got the official trailer from Showtime.

It’s pretty cool to see Agent Lundy return, but I think more exciting is the addition of John Lithgow as the season’s new serial killer.  Can’t wait to see how this one plays out.

Live blog! Hell's Kitchen 6×02

I had a new Twitter LiveBlogging app to test out and an episode of this season of Hell’s Kitchen to watch.  We call that destiny.  Enjoy!

10:01:58 PM: What can I say? I’m kinda obsessed with Hell’s Kitchen, and I need to test out a live blogging ap. So, here we go. I’m watching on HULU

10:03:13 PM: Cymbalta long form ad in lieu of ads during the show. Depression hurts, trade it for dry mouth and constipation!

10:03:55 PM: I really hate the men’s team this year. It’s all Brodudes. And then, on top of that…fucking Robert comes back.

10:04:12 PM: Seriously, I hate that he had to leave because of heart problems, but damn he annoyed the shit out of me last season.

10:04:52 PM: Every year, the cook’s grow more incompetent and the series’ production seems to grow more over the top.
