“Batman: Arkham Asylum” is shaping up to be pretty damn spiffy. Both Derk and I have played the PS3 demo of the game, and found it to be a lot of fun and just gorgeous to look at. The delay for the game really sucked, but fortunately it’ll be out in a just a few short weeks (Currently, the release is slated for August 25th).
Last week, GameStop let slip an exclusive look at their pre-order challenge maps, and with it came a look at the game’s redesigned Scarecrow.

Now, I’m not entirely sure what’s up with the Freddy Krueger styled glove with hypodermic needles…I just know YEESH! As someone who hates needles, that’s terrifying. An interesting redesign that obviously doesn’t touch the classic, but certainly keeps in line with what we’ve seen of the game so far.
