Geek Life just posted this one up.  How hard is it go get these things right?  Iron Man did it.  Spider-Man did it.  But between this and the Odin reveal earlier this week, it seems to be shitty fashion design week.  There’s no discernible colors to the suit aside from Green (we get it, he’s Green Lantern, come on).  What’s with all this weird organic line crap on the suit?  Yet again, an attempt to design a suit that appears to be organic and living only makes the suit look even hokier than spandex would.  It reminds me a lot of the Spawn movie, which is not the image you want to evoke.

I’m hoping this is meant to be some kind of a rookie GL uniform that he’ll shed by movie’s end, but this is a hell of a blow to a promising movie, especially after that amazing concept art that leaked a few months ago.

I’ll be completely honest, I thought that was Jon Voight in the above picture at first.  As you can see, the rest of the movie doesn’t look terrible (though Angela Basset looks like she’s just cosplaying as Waller), but the costume is still quite off putting.  Guess we’ll find out how it all turns out June 17, 2011, when Green Lantern hits theaters.
