Peter Fernandez, voice of Speed Racer, dies at 83

The Anime News Network is reporting that Peter Fernandez, who voiced the titular character Speed Racer in it’s original English dub, has died from lung cancer at the age of 83.

In addition to voicing Speed Racer in the 1967 series, Fernandez voiced supporting character Spritle in the 2008 animated series Speed Racer: The Next Generation.

A former military brat, Christopher currently studies Journalism at a local college, and aspires to one day finally finishing editing that novel he wrote two years ago. He is currently finishing and seeking an artist for his first comic project, SAVIOUR.
