The DC Reboot: “Suicide Squad”, “Blue Beetle” Announced

Two more DC titles were just announced! First up is Suicide Squad #1, which was just revealed over at Newsarama. Written by Adam Glass and illustrated by Marco Rudy, the series follows Harley Quinn, Deadshot, and King Shark as they work for the government to earn their freedom from Death Row. Make your Thunderbolts comparisons now if you like, just know that Suicide Squad did it first.

Over at Comic Book Resources….rejoice! Jamie Reyes is back in a solo on-going for Blue Beetle #1 by Tony Bedard and Ig Guara. This is a relaunch we can get behind.

The news comes just hours after cover art for Superman #1, Supergirl #1 and Superboy #1 leaked on the Internet. Now here’s where things get interesting. We total up those three, the pending Action Comics announcement, AND the previous announcements (excluding Batman Inc, which launches next year), and we get…52 titles. That’s everything, folks. You can read about the previous announcements here, herehereherehere, and here.
