Oh Hey Look, First Shots of SHERLOCK Star in Star Trek 2

You’ve got your Cumberbatch in my Star Trek! Not that anyone is complaining. First on set shots of Sherlock star Benedict Cumberbatch showed up on the Internet today, courtesy of the MTV Movies Blog.

Spock really wants to know how Sherlock Series 3 starts

As you can see, Mr. Cumberbatch is clearly not Vulcan, as many suspected. As you can also see, MTV did not do much research. “Vulcan Death Grip”? C’mon now, guys, someone one your staff has to know that’s wrong.

Worth noting that Cumberbatch’s as-yet-unnamed character is wearing a black Starfleet shirt, similar to what Kirk wore for the majority of Star Trek (2009). It’s likely that his character will be meant to draw a parallel between who Kirk is and who he almost became without a good crew to guide him.

Hey, there’s also a shot of Zoe Saldana in character holding a phaser on Cumberbatch, but who wants to see that?

Only everybody.
