When Marvel announced they were killing Wolverine last year, I was skeptical. After all, it's not only comics, it's an X-Man. Hell, it's THE X-Man. Even in death, Wolverine's an insanely popular character, so kudos to Marvel for sticking to their guns and letting Logan stay six feet under. But it's not the Marvel U without a Wolverine, and while they're cheating a bit by having a universe displaced Old Man Logan show up in Extraordinary X-Men, it's been decided that the mantle would go down to Wolverine's clone Laura Kinney, formerly known as X-23.

I finally got around to seeing Skyfall today. It only took me three years. Look, I'm notoriously bad about not watching movies when they're new. I've managed to mostly keep up with comic book movies as they come out, but a large part of that is because it's impossible to avoid spoilers for me. I managed to avoid the ending of Skyfall for THREE YEARS, and yes, I was VERY surprised to see Judi Dench die. Dench was the only thing about the reboot I didn't question how it related to the originals; we were told Casino Royale was a hard reboot, and I bought it. Judi Dench playing M wasn't THAT big a deal. I couldn't imagine anyone else in the role.

I've been looking forward to this episode for a long while, mostly because John Constantine showing up is a big deal. I really enjoyed Matt Ryan's take as Constantine and wish his series had gotten a better time slot. And promotion. And network.

The last time we saw The Vision proper was in the Avengers special a month or two back where we learned he had wiped his emotions to keep his systems functioning properly. As a result, it's very jarring to see The Vision now residing in Arlington as the Avengers liason to the government. But that feeling may be intentional.
